1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

• "We," "Us," "Our," or "Company" refers to Veloux, a vehicle rental service operating in Singapore
• "You" or "Renter" refers to the individual entering into a rental agreement with us
• "Vehicle" means the automobile rented under these terms
• "Rental Period" means the time between vehicle handover and return as specified in the rental agreement
• "Authorized Driver" means the Renter and any additional drivers approved by us in writing
• "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions together with the specific rental contract

2. Acceptance of Terms

By reserving, accessing, or using our rental services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not proceed with the rental.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Veloux, governed by the laws of Singapore.

3. Eligibility Requirements

To rent a vehicle from us, you must:

• Be at least 25 years of age at the commencement of rental
• Hold a valid Singapore driving license or foreign license with International Driving Permit
• Have held a valid driving license for a minimum of three consecutive years
• Possess a valid credit card in your name for security deposit purposes
• Provide acceptable identification (NRIC, passport, or approved alternative)
• Have no serious traffic violations or license suspensions in the past 36 months
• Meet any additional requirements specified for particular vehicle categories

We reserve the right to verify eligibility and refuse rental to individuals who do not meet these requirements.

4. Reservation and Confirmation

Reservations may be made online, by telephone, or in person at our facility. A reservation becomes binding upon our written confirmation via email.

We make reasonable efforts to provide the specific vehicle model reserved, but reserve the right to substitute with a vehicle of similar or higher category if the original selection becomes unavailable. You will be notified of any substitution before the rental period commences.

Reservation cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time to receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the first day's rental rate.

5. Payment Terms

Payment obligations include:

• Full rental fee payment at vehicle handover unless alternative arrangements have been approved
• Security deposit authorization on your credit card as specified in the rental agreement
• All applicable taxes, surcharges, and fees as outlined in the rental contract
• Mileage charges if the included allowance is exceeded
• Refueling charges if the vehicle is not returned with the agreed fuel level
• Additional driver fees if applicable
• Any fines, penalties, or charges incurred during the rental period

Prices are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD). We accept major credit cards and may accept other payment methods at our discretion. Cash payments are not accepted for security deposit purposes.

6. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

Permitted Use

The vehicle may be used for personal transportation within Singapore in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Prohibited Activities

You must not:

• Allow any person other than an Authorized Driver to operate the vehicle
• Use the vehicle for racing, speed testing, or competitive driving events
• Use the vehicle for commercial purposes including ride-sharing or delivery services
• Transport hazardous materials or illegal substances
• Operate the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Exceed posted speed limits or engage in reckless driving
• Transport more passengers than the vehicle is designed to accommodate
• Smoke or vape inside the vehicle
• Transport animals unless prior written approval has been obtained
• Take the vehicle outside Singapore without written authorization
• Sublease or lend the vehicle to any third party

7. Insurance Coverage

Comprehensive insurance coverage is included with every rental, subject to the terms and conditions of the insurance policy. This coverage protects against loss or damage to the vehicle and third-party liability as specified in the policy.

Insurance coverage may be void if the vehicle is operated in violation of these Terms and Conditions, Singapore traffic laws, or the terms of the insurance policy. The security deposit may be applied toward damages not covered by insurance.

You remain responsible for reporting all accidents and incidents to us and the relevant authorities as required by Singapore law.

8. Vehicle Condition and Maintenance

You are responsible for maintaining the vehicle in good condition during the rental period. This includes checking and maintaining proper fluid levels, tire pressure, and reporting any mechanical issues immediately.

Do not attempt repairs or modifications to the vehicle. Contact us immediately if any mechanical issues arise, and we will arrange appropriate service.

You must return the vehicle in the same condition as received, normal wear and tear excepted. Additional cleaning fees may apply if the vehicle is returned excessively dirty or with odors that require professional treatment.

9. Accidents and Damage

In the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle, you must:

• Stop immediately and render assistance as required by law
• Contact the Singapore Police if required by traffic regulations
• Notify us within 24 hours of the incident
• Complete an accident report form and provide all requested information
• Cooperate with insurance investigations and provide accurate statements
• Not admit liability or make commitments on behalf of us or our insurers

Failure to report accidents or provide accurate information may result in denial of insurance coverage and full liability for damages.

10. Traffic Violations and Fines

You are responsible for all traffic violations, parking fines, tolls, and penalties incurred during the rental period. We will forward any notices received from authorities to your registered address.

If we pay any fines or penalties on your behalf, you agree to reimburse us within seven days of notification, plus an administrative fee for processing.

11. Rental Period and Extensions

The rental period begins at the time of vehicle handover and ends at the agreed return time. Late returns without prior authorization may result in additional charges at our standard hourly rate.

If you wish to extend the rental period, you must contact us at least 12 hours before the scheduled return time. Extensions are subject to vehicle availability and may require additional payment and security deposit adjustment.

Failure to return the vehicle within 24 hours of the agreed return time without authorization may be reported to the Singapore Police as unauthorized possession.

12. Termination of Rental

We reserve the right to terminate the rental agreement and demand immediate return of the vehicle if:

• You breach any term of this agreement
• You provide false information in the rental application
• The vehicle is used in violation of these terms
• We reasonably believe the vehicle is at risk of damage or misuse
• You fail to make required payments when due

In the event of termination, you must return the vehicle immediately to our facility. No refund will be provided for terminated rentals, and you remain liable for all charges and damages.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services or vehicles.

Our total liability for any claim related to the rental agreement shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific rental period giving rise to the claim.

We are not responsible for personal property left in the vehicle, delays, mechanical failures, or any inconvenience resulting from vehicle unavailability.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Veloux, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the vehicle, violation of these terms, or violation of any law or regulation.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from or relating to this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

In the event of any dispute, parties agree to first attempt resolution through good faith negotiation before pursuing legal action.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes become effective upon posting to our website with the updated effective date.

Continued use of our services after changes constitute acceptance of the modified terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with the specific rental agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Veloux regarding the rental services. Any prior representations, communications, or agreements not expressly incorporated herein are superseded.
